Like most of that series, Katrina may boast more immediate interest than lasting importance. But director Steven Wallace gives it an earnest sense of purpose.
The slice-of-life feeling is set as we enter the theater, with four of the characters already perched in various states of sultry disarray on set designer Kevin Rigdon's convincing chunk of freeway.
